Update On Bhutanese returning Back to Bhutan

A total of 67 Bhutanese from across Australia (49 from Perth and 18 from East Coast) are boarding Malaysian flight from Perth International Airport tonight to Malaysia and onward flight to Paro via Druk Air from Malaysia on 21st April.

I on behalf of ABPI would like to thank the Bhutanese in Perth COVID -19 Response Group in general and our Flight Centre Team in particular including Mr. Kuenzang Wangdi, Mr. Tshering Samdrup, Mr. Pema and the Chair Dr. Khandu for making this possible for our Perth group.

Most importantly I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Royal Bhutanese Embassy in Bangkok for unflinching support till now to make this possible. My special thanks to our First Secretary Mr. Tashi Peljor of RBE for his support and guidance throughout this planning phase.

I would like to thank the Royal Government of Bhutan for the support toward airlifting our fellow Bhutanese to our homeland.

Lastly but not the least I would like to thank His Majesty The King for the inspiration.

Wishing our fellow Bhutanese a safe travel home. I would like to request everyone to strictly follow the quarantine policy of the country for the health and well-being of the whole country.

Much love

Karma Choden
