Movie screening guideline (Updated version July 2019)

On 6 August 2018, the Association of Bhutanese in Perth Incorporated (ABPI) introduced Bhutanese movie screening as a service benefit to its members. This was successful with the assistance and help we received from the Edith Cowan University (ECU). A memorandum of understanding was developed between the two institutions.

Since then over 30 Bhutanese movies has been screened, not only promoting entrepreneurial spirit within the Bhutanese community but also contributing to the cultural dynamics and economic establishment between Bhutan and Australia, Bhutanese living in Western Australia.
With change in time and usage of service, systemic changes have to be made. Therefore, based on the suggestions by the service users, viewers and from the well wishers, this revision to Bhutanese Movie Screening is hereby made with effect from 1 July 2019. The changes are shown as Annexure B.

ABPI was established to create a vibrant Bhutanese community to make you feel at home, including taking care of you well-being and in particular, supporting our members in their activities and offering constant support in ways possible. Bhutanese movie screening facility at ECU is only available to members of the ABPI and shall be reviewed with time.
