Event Management Coordinator
Full-time, fixed-term (12 months)
37.5 hours per week
Remuneration package:$95,000 – $105,000 per annum inclusive of 9.5% superannuation
The City of Fremantle is looking for an experienced industry professional that will be responsible for liaising with a range of private commercial and community-based event promoters to ensure a good outcome for events held within the City. The role will also see you responsible for delivering the Citys corporate events such as ANZAC Day, Remembrance Day and One Day in Fremantle.
In consultation with the Manager Arts and Culture you will regularly review event applications and the criteria for event approvals.
You will develop and manage project budgets and grant applications, develop event risk management plans, review and edit contracts, prepare reports for the council, liaise regularly with internal departments regarding upcoming events, meet with prospective event promoters and assist the Citys Festivals Coordinator with event advice.
This position leads a team of four, directly supervising two events officers and a bookings officer and reports to the Manager of Arts and Culture.
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate experience in delivering large public events and supervising staff. You will also possess excellent writing, organisational and contracting skills. Demonstrated relevant experience is a requirement for this position.
