Dear all Bhutanese Living in Perth & Western Australia,
The COVID-19 Response Group and ABPI Executive Committee is working on a wide range of programmes to support our Bhutanese Community in general and those affected by the COVID-19 crisis in particular. To engage our community members, youth and Children, we are rolling out various e-learning and e-culture activities starting today and ending at the end of September when the COVID-19 Response Group will be finally dissolved. Considering that WA is doing much better in terms of dealing with the CORONAVIRUS cases and in other States as well, we are wishing for a much quicker recovery of our economy and businesses. If things come to normal soon, the Response Group will be dissolved much faster than current schedule of September 2020.
The COVID-19 Response Group and ABPI is now preparing to implement the Financial Relief plan in the form of RENTAL ASSISTANCE and FOOD & ESSENTIALS support to our affected community members. We have $14,744 available to the affected members before we wait to hear the grant responses from the government. Our letters to the educational institutions have been heard and they are currently looking into what more support they can provide to international students.
Community members are kindly advised to look at the following schedule of events prepared for our community and those affected by the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
