Big and Good news

Greetings everyone,

As we get closer to celebrate the Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the Fifth King of Bhutan, the ABPI team on behalf of ABPI is pleased to share that a group of actors and singers from Bhutan will be joining our community for celebration this Year. They are tentatively scheduled to arrive Perth on 19 February.

With this, we will be holding an official celebration with prayers and cake cutting on 21 February at ABPI community centre.

Followed by, we have a community cultural show on 23 February at Macedonian cultural centre in Balcatta. There will be a short 4 hour programme (9 am – 1 pm) at Macedonian hall presided over by Chief Guest (Tentatively Consular from the Consulate of Japan).

Participants from Bhutan and community in Perth will perform a mixed programme. Suja/desi, snacks, fruits and juices shall be offered during this time.

Continuing this, we have the major show from 5 pm – 9 pm at the same venue – Macedonian Centre. Guests from Bhutan will perform more cultural items plus modern shows. Dinner shall be served. There will be live songs and dances. Word is, Misty Terrace is the main performer.

A raffle donation ticket worth $15 (lottery) shall be circulated around and we hope that you will support us by purchasing the raffle ticket. The income will be used to fund the activities for HM’s Birth Anniversary and also meet expenses for our programme.

We will update you as soon as we receive the guest list from Bhutan. And a final list of programme soon. Mr. Tsheten, who is the Event Coordinator of ABPI will liaise as the focal person for this matter. Phone numbers and names of your Area Councillors along with other Executive team members will be made available (also available from ABPI website). You may contact them if you want to register your performance/s.
